Tunisia declared two new imported cases of COVID-19 on June 24, 2020, bringing the total number of infections to 1162, the Ministry of Health announced.
The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 217 lab tests,5 cases tested positive, of which 2 are Imported infections and 3 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1162, out of 68321screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
The number of recoveries rose to 1023 with 89 patients still virus-carriers and kept in observation. The death toll stands at 50.
