Tunisia announced 3 new cases of COVID-19 on June 16 2020, taking the total number of infections to 1128, the Ministry of Health said. The death toll also rose to 50 after recording an additional fatality.
In a press release, the Health Ministry said 1492 tests were conducted on June 16, including 12 to monitor previous cases..
As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1128 out of 62922 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
The number of recoveries stands at 1004 with 74 patients still virus-carriers and kept in observation.
