Tunisia-Breaking news: Tunisia reports 1 new COVID-19 cases, 1169 in total

Ministry of Health declared on Sunday evening one new COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of the infected in the country to 1,169.

According to the ministry statement, a total of 1,029 patients have recovered while 50 deaths were reported.

The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 353  lab tests,10  cases tested positive, of which 1  is a new Imported infection and 9 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1169 out of 69137 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.

Additionally,90  patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation.
