Ten more imported cases of infection with COVID-19 were recorded on July 8, bringing the overall cases of infection to 1231, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday.
The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 1131 lab tests,12 cases tested positive, of which 10 are new Imported infections and 2 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1231 out of 75539 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
Additionally,126 patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation while recoveries rose to 1055. The death toll stands at 50 since the beginning of the outbreak.
