Tunisia-Breaking news: Tunisia reports 16 new coronavirus cases

The Ministry of Health declared sixteen new imported cases of COVID-19 case on July 7, bringing the total number of the infected in the country to 1221.

The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 798 lab tests,16 cases tested positive, of which 8 are cases belonging to undocumented migrants residing in compulsory self-isolation centres and 8 cases for returnees in self-isolation”.As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1221 out of 74408 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.

Additionally,121 patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation while recoveries rose to 1050. The death toll stands at 50 since the beginning of the outbreak.
