Tunisia-Breaking news:Suspension of classes and ban on traffic from 7 p.m

Speaking at a press conference, government spokesperson Hasna Ben Slimane announced that the scientific commission to fight the coronavirus has decided to ban the circulation of vehicles from 19 pm to 5 a.m. while proceeding to implement the curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Also, all businesses that do not adhere to the health protocol and curfew hours will be shut down, said Ben Slimane.

The committee decided to suspend class also is pending a meeting to determine the best way to conclude the school year and organize online learning. In addition, there will be a one hour gap between the public sector and civil service employee groups.

The commission also decided on compulsory quarantine for people entering Tunisia. The measures decided will come into force for the period between April 18 and 30, 2021.
