The Health Ministry of Tunisia unveiled on Wednesday that the number of people who have contracted the coronavirus on April 6 grew by 1951 during the past 24 hours, signalling the sharpest daily rise in cases.
Within the same period, there were 48 deaths attributed to the virus, with the country’s COVID death toll now at 9087 while the case tally climbed to 264.994. Out of the figure, 221,545 infections were successfully treated, up by 900 .
1758 hospitalisations were recorded on the same date, including 382 in intensive care units and 114 under ventilators in public and private health facilities.
