We have just learned of the passing of Brigadier General Mustapha Bouziz.
Born on February 23, 1934, he enlisted in the Tunisian army in 1956, worked as a judge in the military court, then as general prosecutor of the republic and director-general of military justice.
He drew up the code of military procedure. He was Minister of Justice and then established the Ministry of State Domains and Land Affairs in 1990 and stayed as its head till 1999.
The late Bouziz was the initiator of the promulgation of the law banning the sale of state lands. The deceased was recognised for his righteousness and charitable and social works.
