The President and Director General of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), Mohamed Kraïem, revealed today, Saturday, April 6, 2024, that the Fund will announce in the coming days a “social amnesty” and will give self-employed workers the possibility institutions and people to fix their situations with the fund.
He revealed that through this amnesty, late payment penalties for employees that weighed on these institutions and individuals will be cancelled.
Mohamed Kraïem confirmed that pension funds in Tunisia are encountering financial difficulties, noting that the fund’s debts to various establishments and individuals amount to around 8 billion dinars and that part of this sum is not recoverable. This is why the fund has developed a strategy to retrieve what can be covered, according to its confirmation in press statements today…
