Tunisia – Charfeddine: It is inconceivable that security unionist gives orders of withdrawal

Minister of Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine confirmed that he respects the right to the labour union, though this right remains dependent on respect for the law.

He added that no one can be above the law, and no union coverage could justify behaviour outside the law.

Charfeddine gave the example of a union official who has given the order to a security system to withdraw. Something that is extremely serious according to him, adding that only the Ministry of Interior is empowered to give orders or counter-orders.
