Tunisia – Charfeddine: Justice was slow to respond to Bhiri’s case

The Minister of the Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine, confirmed that Noureddine Bhiri was put under house arrest, following his implicated in a terrorist case, by issuing passports and Tunisian nationality to people involved in terrorism cases, and illegally without compliance with legal provisions.
Charfeddine added that he pressed on going through the prosecution in managing these cases, although the judiciary was slow to react, for no reason, he added.

This prompted him, above all, after the case had been publicized and certain parties had begun to react in a way that was dangerous for national security, to utilise his right and his duty to put these people out of order by assigning them to the guarded residence.
