Tunisia-Chebba: 6 corpses retrieved and 14 individuals saved

The National Guard units retrieved 6 other corpses during the research operations of missing migrants after the sinking of a boat off Chebba last week.

Speaking to the TAP agency, a source from the Maritime National Guard to Mahdia said that the number of victims rises to 12 after retrieving  6 other bodies and the rescue of 14 people.

According to the same source, other migrants are still missing since the boat had about 37 people, all of Tunisian nationality, according to the inquiries ordered by the public prosecutor.

Since the sinking of the boat, the families of the missing have assembled at the Mahdia fishing port to be informed of the research results.
