The City of Culture in Tunis will be named after Chedli Klibi (1925-2020), Minister of Cultural Affairs Chiraz Laatiri said Tuesday.
The new name will be officially adopted on July 9 on the 40th day of Klibi’s death, Laatiri said at a press conference at the Culture City. A ceremony will be there in the presence of Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh, she said. A posthumous tribute will be paid to the late politician who was the founder of the Ministry of Culture in 1961.
