Tunisia-City of Culture to be named after Chedli Klibi

 The City of Culture in Tunis will be named after Chedli Klibi (1925-2020), Minister of Cultural Affairs Chiraz Laatiri said Tuesday.

The new name will be officially adopted on July 9 on the 40th day of Klibi’s death, Laatiri said at a press conference at the Culture City.

A ceremony will be there in the presence of Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh, she said.

A posthumous tribute will be paid to the late politician who was the founder of the Ministry of Culture in 1961.

Klibi passed away on May 13, 2020 at the age of 94.
