The Confederation of Citizen Businesses of Tunisia (Conect) called on the administration to apply the economic emergency measures decreed on April 1 by the Ministry of the Economy. Conect welcomed these measures which are probably to revive confidence with economic operators in a context characterised by the fall in investment and the upsurge in the unemployment rate.
It called for the necessity to publish the implementing texts of the laws linking to the social and solidarity economy, crowdfunding and self-entrepreneurship and to clear the obstacles hindering the development of the renewable energy sector. The confederation likewise considered it crucial to put in place the required mechanisms to develop the transport sector and improve the competitiveness of the industrial textile sector so that it can create wealth.
