Tunisia-Coronavirus: Call to crack down on the “abusive” practices of certain clinics

The fight against the coronavirus, regrettably, involves several overruns perpetrated against patients in distress. Currently, some clinics are set on the dock due to abusive practices .

It is in this context that the Bar Association asked on  Monday, November 16, the administration to take the exceptional steps needed to crack down on the abusive practices of certain private clinics and to initiate the requisition mechanism.

In a statement, the Bar Association calls for fairness among Tunisians in the right to care in all public hospitals without exclusion, including military establishments throughout the country. It likewise calls for the generalization of mobile hospitals and the multiplication of screening tests.

The council expresses its anxiety at the decline of working conditions in the courts, highlighting the need to start a national debate on the modernization of the justice service and the development of infrastructure judicial.

While asserting its support for the right to strike, guaranteed by the Constitution, the bar calls for not paralyzing the service, in this context of the fight against the virus, idleness and corruption
