Tunisia-Coronavirus: Mohamed Mokdad: “the health situation is under control”

The director-general of public health structures within the health ministry, Mohamed Mokdad, said this morning that “the situation is under control” in response to the dramatic increase in the number of infections with the coronavirus.

The official said the total number of patients admitted to intensive care units for Covid-19 was 140, of which only 13 were on artificial respiration.

El-Menzah hospital has been equipped with 48 beds, including 4 resuscitation beds and the field hospitals are ready and will be used if the situation worsens further, he added.
