Tunisia – Coronavirus: Nissaf Ben Alaya predicts more than 7,200 dead by the end of the year

Nissaf Ben Alaya, director general of the National Observatory for Emerging Diseases and spokesperson for the Ministry of Health gave an overview of the epidemiological situation, this Tuesday, October 20, 2020 on the airwaves of Express fm, confirming that the coronavirus is still propagating at great speed.

In addition to these measures, Nissaf Ben Alaya recalled the importance of the rigorous application of 3M (mask, hand and meter) and health protocols to curb the spread of the virus to the extent that it has become urgent to reverse the curve of spread that continues to soar.

In this regard, she confirmed that at the current rate, Tunisia could record a very heavy toll in terms of human losses with 7,200 deaths by the end of the year, whereas the same forecasts were made two weeks ago. , out of 5,500 deaths by December 31, 2020.
