Tunisia- Coronavirus: The health ministry issues recommendations to travellers returning from China

At least 41 people have died and At least 1,287 cases have been infected from coronavirus, the virus is continuing to spread as more countries are testing positive for the virus.
As part of observing the health situation linked to the development of new cases of Coronavirus throughout the world, The Tunoiian health ministry announced measures in cooperation with the organisation of awareness campaigns and the Office of Civil Aviation and Airports (OACA).
Director-General of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases at the Ministry of Health Insaf Ben Alia affirmed that the danger of appearance or spread of the virus in Tunisia is still weak, due to the lack of direct flights between Tunisia and China, where the virus developed for the first time.
The Department is currently concentrating on strengthening inspection procedures at airports.
The Health Ministry in cooperation with the OACA services will propel awareness campaigns with the dissemination of brochures carrying the required instructions on the prevention of viral infections, Ben Alia pointed out, adding that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has not yet declared a state of health emergency due to the spread of the virus in China.

According to the WHO, signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.

In more severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

The incubation period of the coronavirus remains unknown. Some sources say it could be between 10 to 14 days.
