Tunisia-Coronavirus: Tunisia Field Epidemiology Training Program ranks 2 globally in preparation strategies

Tunisia has ranked 2 globally in terms of epidemiological bulletins and strategies to fight Coronavirus.

Since its appearance, the ministery of health has taken several measures to prevent any possible outbreak of the virus. Measures include installing temperature sensors  Tunisia airports, setting up a monitoring cell in the Tunisian embassy in Beijing and other precautionary measures.

The virus has caused a total of 41 total deaths and many infected cases around the world.

Many countries which have not been affected directly by the outbreak are undertaking actions to prepare for possible cases.

FETPs, which are set within ministries of health, national public health institutes, and other public health agencies, are operating in various ways to combat this new public health threat.

According to TEPHINET” Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions Network ” The Tunisia Field Epidemiology Training Program is ranked number two in term of epidemiological bulletins, its involved in surveillance and preparedness activities for any imported cases of 2019-nCoV. The FETP has edited an epidemiological bulletin on the disease and is formulating preparedness and risk communication plans.

China and the US topped the ranking.
