Tunisia – Corpses piled up in the morgue with trash cans

A citizen posted a shocking video at Charles Nicole hospital, the latter went to the mortuary to recover the remains of his friend and neighbour, who had passed away a few days earlier.
However, what we saw was neither a movie scene nor a war scene. We were, quite simply, in the morgue of Charles Nicole Hospital, where dozens of corpses were, almost, piled on top of each other, next to the mountains of garbage.
The pestilential odours reported by the witnesses were unbearable. But what is more unreasonable, still, is the degree of human degradation that we have reached in Tunisia, 10 years after the “Jasmine Revolt”.
