Prime Minister Ahmed El Hachani, oversaw, this Thursday morning, the meeting of the Council of Ministers at the Government Palace in Kasbah.
At the beginning of this council, he welcomed the new members of the government, then briefed the audience on the content of Tunisian participation in the Davos Economic Forum, in particular the various meetings.
He also highlighted the significance of renewable energies and the necessity to accelerate the completion of projects in this area, and the appointment of the Secretary of State responsible for energy transition is part of this strategic orientation of the State.
Hachani also underlined the need to accelerate digitalization projects for administrative services in general, and in particular, those planned for national and foreign citizens and investors.
The following draft laws and ordinances were examined and approved:
Draft laws:
* A draft basic law connecting to the approval of amendments to the deal establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
* A draft law approving the guarantee agreement concluded on December 13, 2023, between the Tunisian Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, relating to the loan given by the Green Climate Fund to the Tunisian Society of Electricity and gas to contribute to funding the electricity interconnection project between Tunisia and Italy and the development of the renewable energy system (ELMED).
* A draft law approving the guarantee agreement concluded on December 20, 2023, between the Tunisian Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, relating to the loan granted to the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company to contribute to the financing of the electricity interconnection project between Tunisia and Italy and the development of the renewable energy system (ELMED).
* A bill approving an authorization permitting the Central Bank of Tunisia to grant facilities for the benefit of the Tunisian public treasury.
Draft orders:
* A draft decree linking to the issuance of the national mortgage loan for the year 2024.
* A draft order relating to the control of the administrative and financial organization of the Tunisian Agency for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its management methods.
* A draft order regulating the composition, content and working procedures of the Civil Aviation Medical Council.
*A draft order relating to the control of the organizational structure of the National Office of Land Border Posts.
* A draft order relating to the extension of the deadline granted to audit commissions provided for in Chapter 6 of Order No. 591 of 2023 of September 21, 2023 relating to the carrying out of a global audit of the recruitment and recruitment processes integration into the public service, organizations, institutions and establishments, public restricted companies and all other public structures, completed from January 14, 2011 to July 25, 2021.
It should be mentioned that this extension results in particular from the substantial increase in the number of files audited compared to the expected number, and from the absence of documents in many files.
