Tunisia-Counsellor at Sfax municipality gifted “Donkey ” after insulting sanitation workers

Mayor of Sfax Mounir El-Loumi confirmed hat the dispute between a municipal councillor and the municipality’s sanitation workers sparked after a post published by the counsellor on her Facebook page and included a picture with a comment that implied she meant cleaning staff.

The mayor added that these were political differences that came within the framework of political tensions, describing what the chancellor had done to be an ill-considered movement.

He pointed out that the chancellor’s post was inside the municipality’s internal “kitchen”, but the answer of the workers was the one that caused the problem where the agents carried out a protest movement by bringing a decorated donkey.

The mayor maintained that he was on a mission outside Sfax yesterday when the protest movement was organized, but he issued a statement condemning these actions, calling on everyone to distance the municipality from the political wrangling.
