Tunisia-Country classification: United Kingdom clarifies

The UK embassy said in a statement released on Tuesday, September 29, that the travel ban advice it had passed on to its nationals followed the classification of countries published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Health and according to which the United Kingdom is classified as red.

Indeed, according to the Tunisian government, travelers from “red” countries are not allowed to enter Tunisia with the exception of Tunisian nationals or British citizens who are permanent residents of Tunisia.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office continues to advise UK nationals to travel without obligation.

This applies, in fact, not only to Tunisia but to all countries due to the epidemic risk. There has been, however, no change for Tunisian travelers to the UK, according to the same statement.
