Tunisia-COVID-19: ICU set up in Ben Arous

The regional health directorate in Ben Arous has set up An intensive care unit (ICU) for the reception of COVID-19 patients in the Ben Arous regional hospital.

This unit has a capacity of 6 beds, the regional health director in Ben Arous, Moncef Houani, told the TAP agency on Wednesday.

The same source affirmed that international standards were respected during the creation of this unit, in particular with regard to the separation of beds, the quality of the equipment installed and the mode of remote monitoring.

In addition, and according to the latest assessment of infection by the coronavirus in the governorate of Ben Arous, 30 new cases were detected Tuesday after the publication of the results of 128 analyzes carried out.

The region also saw one new death linked to COVID-19. This is a patient from Ezzahra. The number of deaths from this virus has thus increased to 24.
