Tunisia-COVID-19: The Ministry of Justice takes a series of preventive measures

In a note sent Wednesday to court presidents, judicial institutions and various stakeholders in the justice sector, the supervisory ministry calls on staff and citizens to the obligation to wear protective masks inside the courts and to respect the law. physical distancing.

The department also insists on reducing the gates to the courts and controlling access to them.

Only the people concerned should access the courtrooms, recommends the ministry in its note which includes the precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and protect employees in the different jurisdictions and judicial institutions.

The ministry calls on the presidents of the courts to open a single window far from the offices for complaints, requests and other services dedicated to litigants.

During the last period, the various regional directorates of the ministry carried out several sterilization operations in all the courts of the Republic.

As part of the preparations for the new judicial year 2020/2021, the department has also provided the necessary logistics for the holding, if necessary, of remote trials.
