The curfew will last for two weeks. Traffic will be prohibited from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekends.
In a statement released, the Interior Ministry said the law will be strictly enforced against violators.
Several sectors are exempt from these new measures, including the health sector, the media, the transport sector, night workers, supply services, wholesale markets, farmers and vital industries.
Everyone who can benefit from these exemptions must have permissions from their supervisors to justify their trips.
