Tunisia- Daesh element planning terrorist operation using toxic products arrested

 The national services unit for search on terrorist crime, organized crime and breaches of national security within the general directorate of specialized services have successfully arrested a terrorist element   (not known to the security services)  affiliated with the terrorist organization Daesh after a preventive operation and a high follow up filed ( After intelligence information is available). The terrorist was trained in the preparation of toxic and deadly products to be used for an imminent operation.

 In a statement issued Friday, June 3, 2020, the Interior Ministry declared the arrest of a Takfiri after setting up an ambush in coordination with the two central counter-terrorism services under the direct supervision of the prosecution of the judicial pole of counterterrorism.
After further investigation, he admitted supporting ISIS and his involvement in numerous jihadist sites affiliated with the same terrorist organization, in addition, to have communicated with the parties abroad.

He also acknowledged that he had begun the preliminary work to produce toxic products by providing preparatory materials needed for this before attempting these products and considering about defining the appropriate objective to implement an important qualitative operation which will disrupt the general situation of the country, according to the press release.

After referring him to the judicial pole for counterterrorism, the judge issued an arrest warrant against him.
