Tunisia-Daily Digest for November 1

COVID-19 updtaes:

Tunisia reported on October 29  three covid deaths and 263 new infections, taking the tally to 712.581 infections and 25.238 deaths.

The tally for October 30 was 1 death and 166 infections.

Pink October: 300 women get free screening tests in Gafsa

A Pink train with on board a medical and paramedical team arrived Sunday in Metlaoui and Ksar, governorate of Gafsa, as part of the Pink October campaign to fight against breast cancer,the TAP reported.

This caravan equipped with medical equipment was able to provide free breast cancer screening services for nearly 300 women from the delegations of Sened, Ksar and Metlaoui.

New appointments at the Ministry of the Interior

 

New appointments in several districts of the National Guard were made, Mosaique FM reported citing close sources. The new appointments are as follows:

 

  • Mohamed Ali Bessghaier (Nabeul district)
  • Ahmed Belhadk Sghaier (Ettadhamen district)
  • Tarak Chebbi (Tebourba district)

Other appointments at the top of various sub-directorates in the National Guard (the anti-narcotics brigade, that of anti-gangs, sub-departments of tourist security, sub-directorates of the Guard of traffic and coast guards, etc …)

El Kamour Coordination -Tarak Haddad: We have not said our last word

In a video shared on the official El Kamour coordination page, spokesman Tarek Haddad evaluated the many deals that have been reached with the authorities, including the most recent one signed on November 8. Affirming that the inhabitants of the region have claimed the right to work, Haddad highlighted the hard socio-economic situation in the governorate of Tataouine.

 In the same context, he threatened to escalate, alluding to the shutdown of the oil valve if the authorities do not react to their demands by November 8.
