Speaking with Tunisie Numérique, Dean of Veterinarians Ahmed Rajab gave recommendations before and after slaughtering Aid Adha sheep, noting that the sacrifice shouldn’t contain Blisters or secretions on the sides of the nose and eyes. He added that the sacrifice should be placed in a ventilated space with sun rays and air. Regarding the day of the sacrifice, he stressed that an expert must carry the slaughter to guarantee health and safety. He further recommended keeping the meat clean and avoiding cleaning it in this heat as it will cause the bacteria to increase.
He noted that internal organs, like the stomach, need to be removed within half an hour after slaughter to prevent meat infection. Additionally, water bags should be boiled for 30 minutes before use. This prevents parasites that could be harmful to dogs and humans and helps preserve the environment by controlling insect and dog populations that pose health risks.
