Tunisia – Death of a businessman in detention

Mariem Ghedamsi announced on Sunday morning, March 30, 2025, the passing of her father, Ali Ghedamsi, a 65-year-old businessman who was being held in Messaadine Prison in Sousse.

He had been incarcerated since November 18, 2024, in connection with a money laundering case at Borj El Amri Prison. He was then transferred to Messaadine Civil Prison, where he had already been investigated in the so-called “Instalingo” case.
