Tunisia-Death on the Nile withdrawn from theaters and now banned in Tunisia

The Directorate-General for Performing and Audiovisual Arts of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs has decided to prohibit the film “Death on the Nile”, a Hollywood adaptation of Agatha Christie’s book, directed by Kenneth Branagh. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, therefore, reacted positively to the many demands against normalization with Israel, the heroine of the film being the Israeli actress Gal Gadot, also a reservist in the Zionist army and known for her support for it.

Several activists against normalization with the Zionist entity had even prepared to demonstrate tomorrow against the screening of the film in Tunisian theatres. But in the meantime, the film has been prohibited and its distributor has been ordered to remove it from cinemas, as Kaouther Saida Chebbi announced in a Facebook post.
