The military cooperation between Tunisia and Turkey was the centre of a meeting on Wednesday in Tunis between Defence Minister Imed Hazgui and Turkish Ambassador in Tunis Ali Onaner.
The minister uttered gratitude for the continuous support granted by Turkey to Tunisia in the military field in recent years. He emphasised Tunisia’s willingness to increase and strengthen cooperation in the field of training and military industry and to explore new partnership possibilities to better meet the needs of both military institutions, a statement of the department reads
For his part, the Turkish ambassador emphasised the solidity of the relations linking the two countries, affirming Turkey’s readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation to consolidate the operational capacities of the Tunisian military institution and meet its needs in a context of mutual trust.
