Tunisia-Defense Committee: “Namaa” Association has never received money from a foreign party

Attorney and member of the defence committee of “Namaa” association Salha Ben Aycha criticized the remarks of the spokesperson for the public prosecutor’s office at the Judicial pole for the Fight against Terrorism.

“The information that has been reported to the general public linking to the large sum of money, estimated at 20 million dinars, available to the Namaa association is false. The association has never accepted any money from a foreign party,” said Ben Aycha.

She added that “Namaa” makes money through the conferences and symposiums organized as well as from the subscriptions of its members. She likewise warned against the pressure that could be exerted on the judges to issue warrants of committal against the leaders of “Namaa”.
