Tunisia Desert Challenge: A French biker loses his life

A French biker passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, during the 3rd stage of the “Tunisia Desert Challenge” motorcycle rally in Tataouine. This was revealed yesterday by the regional tourism delegate of Tataouine Yassine Daghari in a statement to Mosaique FM.

Matthieu de Saint-Exupéry experienced mechanical difficulties 144 km from the finish of the 350 km long stage. After an emergency call, emergency medical services came by helicopter, but it was too late.

Presumably deceased from heat stroke, the body of the pilot was moved to the regional hospital to carry out the required administrative and medical procedures to determine the cause of death.
