Tunisia-Directorate of Forests: “Heaviest penalties will be applied to those involved in the fires”

The director-general of the forestry directorate Mohamed Boufaroua described the fires that have ravaging lately as “crimes against nature.”
According to Boufaroua, these are “premeditated acts.” He also assured that “the suspects are in custody. ““The heaviest penalties will be applied. »He added.
He said that nearly 900 hectares were damaged by fire.
Boufaroua further indicated that “the situation is under control” concerning the fires that have been declared in Bejà, Jendouba or El Kef.
