Ben Arous National Guard intelligence units managed to dismantle a network specializing in the trafficking of archaeological objects and items of archaeological value.

The general management of the National Guard revealed in a press release made public yesterday, Saturday, October 28, 2023, that this network is led by a radicalized element.

Archaeological objects, a quantity of ambergris, rubies, a leather archaeological book written in Hebrew bearing a six-pointed star on its cover, as well as three archaeological pieces and foreign currencies were seized.

The prosecution ordered the opening of a criminal inquiry into the matter, as well as the arrest of all those implicated.
