The Central Brigade for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes of the Directorate of Judicial Affairs in Ben Arous, reinforced by rapid intervention units, was able to dismantle a criminal network specializing in the transport and smuggling of migrants from sub-Saharan countries.
Six members of this network were apprehended and five means of transport operated to carry out their illegal activities were seized.
After coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspects were arrested.
The General Administration of the National Guard called on all citizens to cooperate and report any suspicious movement or activity associated with human trafficking to the number 71860135, communicating with the competent security units to strengthen efforts to combat these crimes that pose a threat to public safety and human life.
