Tunisia – Djerba: Arrest of individual who had drugs in his home

Agents from the Judicial Police Directorate in Médenine were able to apprehend an individual who had brought back a quantity of narcotics from the town of Ben Guerdane, which he stored in his home in Djerba, in order to resell it in the region and sent quantities to the Capital, in association with other individuals who engage in drug trafficking.

Knowing that he is a repeat offender who had already served a 14-year jail sentence for drug trafficking.

The arrest of this individual was carried out in collaboration with the Médenine public prosecutor’s office, which ordered a raid on the suspects’ home, which authorised the seizure of:

– An electronic scale

– Two pieces of drugs (Zatla)

– 32 grams of cocaine

– A plastic bag containing 300 grams of cocaine

The prosecution ordered the continued detention of the defendants, pending the continuation of the inquiry.
