Tunisia – Djerba: Seizure of large quantity of drugs as well as Yacht and an… Ambulance

The security units of the Research Service of the Security Post of the Djerba-Zarzis International Airport, after coordination with the customs authorities, were able to apprehend a foreign traveller from a foreign country in possession of 16 cannabis plaques (Zatla) and 50 grams of cocaine that were hidden in different areas of his body.

After an inquiry by the security units of the Regional Anti-Drug Brigade of Medenine, in charge of the case, it appeared that he intended to hand it over to a Tunisian residing in the Ajim region, in Djerba. After coordination with the prosecution, and after locating the residence of this individual, the judicial police brigade of Djerba moved there and arrested him.

The following vehicles were also seized:

  • Two luxury cars.
  • Tourist yacht.
  • An ambulance
