Tunisia: Doctors call for health system reform

During a debate meeting organized on Tuesday in Tunis by the Tunisian Association for the Defense of the Right to Health, doctors called for speeding up the implementation of the health system reform validated by the government in 2021.

The doctors stressed the significance of strengthening front-line structures at all levels to guarantee universal health coverage in Tunisia. They highlighted that the societal dialogue on health system reform, initiated in 2016, led to a national pact involving all stakeholders in the sector, but it has not yet been fully realized. The talk took place on World Universal Health Coverage Day.
