Tunisia-Drop in exports in 2020

Tunisian exports registered a decline of 11.7% versus an increase of 7% recorded in 2019. They reached 38.706 billion dinars the previous year.
Many sectors were touched by the reduction in exports such textiles/clothing and leather (-13.8%), mechanical and electrical industries (-14%), the energy sector (-9.4% ) and that mines, phosphates and derivatives (-24.4%).
Nevertheless, the agriculture and agro-food industries sector showed an increase of 12% following the increase in olive oil sales of approximately 3 billion dinars.
