Tunisia-Due to mistreatment: Journalist Khalifa Al Qasmi starts hunger strike

Reporter Khalifa Al Qasmi’s brother who is serving a prison sentence after a five-year appeal ruling affirmed that Al Qasmi decided to go on a hunger strike in protest against what he believed to be mistreatment inside the jail and his being placed in a cell with those convicted of terrorism cases, in addition to being pushed to change the location of his bed inside the prison.

The same source likewise confirmed that his brother was late in arriving for the visit an hour after being notified of the date of the visit, unlike previous ones, confirming the decline of his psychological and health condition as a result of this situation, indicating that he personally saw what he said was violent treatment such as screaming, as he put it.
