Reporter Khalifa Al Qasmi’s brother who is serving a prison sentence after a five-year appeal ruling affirmed that Al Qasmi decided to go on a hunger strike in protest against what he believed to be mistreatment inside the jail and his being placed in a cell with those convicted of terrorism cases, in addition to being pushed to change the location of his bed inside the prison.
