Echaâb denounced in a statement the payment claims of Ennahdha party, through the Dignity Fund set up as part of transitional justice. The Echaâb movement estimates that the moment is by no means fitting to clear the state coffers, particularly since Tunisia requires all the possible aid that can be granted to it.
The statement further states that Ennahdha party is taking advantage of the weakness of the state in the light of this global scourge in addition to the economic crisis, to exercise pressure on the prime minister, whose support is by no means secured.
The movement adds that it in no way excludes the right of victims of grave human rights violations to compensation, however that priority must be given to the right to life of Tunisians.
Finally, Echaâb calls on all political entities and national organizations to assemble against this opportunism and ensure the reign of the general interest to the personal and political interest of this party.
