Tunisia-Education ministry announces health and prevention protocols dedicated to national examination

The sanitary protocol of the ministry of education, striving to avoid the spread of COVD-19 in all the educational establishments involved by the resumption of the courses starting next May 28 (only for the pupils of the baccalaureate) and national examinations an, is available and will be executed by all regional education offices.

In a statement to the TAP, Regional director of education Ahmed Sebri, said that this protocol which was developed in cooperation with the ministry of health includes all the essential instructions that can prevent the spread of the virus, in addition to the support control of students to encourage them to adhere to hygiene measures and social distancing.

The official said that all schools and dorms that will welcome the baccalaureate students from May 28 will all be sanitised before they open.

In this context, he reported that measures had been taken to ensure physical distance in homes, such as maintaining a minimum distance of 6 meters between the beds and regular disinfection of the toilet blocks.

According to the same source, the Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport, will provide transportation for the greatest number of students to their high schools.

In addition, the Ministry of Education will provide protective masks and hydro-alcoholic gel in addition to measuring temperature before entering the establishment.

Sebri added that suspected cases of COVID-19 among students in the sixth grade of primary school and third year of secondary school will be placed in isolation in another room to take their tests which will last two days while the suspected cases among the candidates for baccalaureate will take their exams in one of the containment centres where their comfort and safety will be guaranteed.
He further revealed that in each examination room, a distance of one and a half meters will separate each candidate from another.
