The Minister of Education Salwa Abbasi and her Italian counterpart, the Minister of Education and Social Rights Giuseppe Valditara, concluded, yesterday Friday, a memorandum of understanding in the educational sector between the two countries aimed at enhancing the quality of the teaching of the Italian language in Tunisia and supporting collaboration between the two countries in the technical field.
It was agreed during the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding at the Ministry of Education in Tunis, to form a steering committee consisting of representatives of the competent authorities aiming to obtain the best results and to facilitate dialogue and cooperation to continue this project, according to a press release published today, Saturday, by the Ministry of Education.
On this occasion, the Minister of National Education stressed the significance of supporting the status of the Italian language in teaching and learning within the network of foreign languages taught, whether in Tunisian universities or high schools. , underscoring the necessity to complement and strengthen cooperation projects between the two parties, exchanging experiences between the two countries’ education systems, working to develop the skills of teachers and learners, and improving the equipment and means necessary for learning.
