Tunisia-El Hajeb elects Tunisia’s youngest mayor

A week after the removal of confidence from El Hajeb mayor, the region has elected a new office at the head of the city.

Yesterday, Sunday, February 14, 2021, 27-year-old Zied Abbes was named the new mayor of El Hajeb, (governorate of Sfax)  becoming the youngest mayor in the nation .

Abbas, who represents Ennahdha movement, won 11 votes out of a total of 18 city council members.
