Tunisia- Emir of Qatar reiterates his country’s commitment to support Tunisia

President of the Republic Kais Saied spoke on Friday afternoon by telephone with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani.

According to a press release from the presidency, the Talk focused on several issues including the full commitment of the Emir of Qatar to finance the production platform in Sidi Bouzid.

During this telephone interview, the contribution of the State of Qatar to the realization of the medical city of Aghalabids was also mentioned.

Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani underlined his country’s readiness to support Tunisia particularly in this delicate stage. He also renewed his invitation to the President of the Republic to pay a visit to Qatar as soon as possible.

The President of the Republic Kaîs Saied said he accepted this invitation, stressing that the political situation that Tunisia is going through should in no way constitute an obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries.
