Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, welcomed, today Thursday February 8, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry, Siphosezwe Masango, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Tunisia, who paid him a farewell visit at the ending of his mission in Tunisia.
During this meeting, the Head of Diplomacy welcomed the historic and solid links that unite Tunisia and South Africa, while voicing Tunisia’s desire to further consolidate them.
He recollected that the year 2024 coincides with the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Tunisia and South Africa, and welcomed the fruitful and constructive cooperation achieved since 1994.
The Minister also stressed the convergence of the points of view of the two nations on regional and international issues, in particular the just Palestinian cause.
For his part, the South African Ambassador expressed his appreciation and all his esteem to the Tunisian authorities for the support and facilities granted to him throughout his mission in Tunisia.
He also confirmed that the historic and solid ties between the two countries will serve as the basis for building fruitful cooperation that will benefit the two brotherly countries and peoples.
